Come on a farm tour and Chocolate Tasting


Come join us on our guided tour of our farm, gardens and cacao processing facility in an in-depth 2.5 hour farm tour, and chocolate tasting experience.  On our tour we will taste the exquisite fruit of the cacao pod, explain about cacao growing, harvesting, fermentation, drying and the entire chocolate making process from tree to finished chocolate bar.  In addition we will walk through the gardens and explore the ever-growing botanic collection, stream, fruit and spice trees. After walking through the cacao orchard, experience an in-depth chocolate tasting overlooking the cacao tree canopy and ocean.  Learn how to taste chocolate and experience a wide range of pure chocolate tastes, scents, textures and mouth-feel from samples drawn from estates in Hawaii and around the globe. You will also learn a bit about the history of chocolate and about its introductions into Hawaii in the 1800’s as well as about the current state of cacao growing in our state vs the rest of the world.  65$pp. 24 hrs advance reservation required.

Prepare for your chocolate adventure!

Please note this is a working chocolate farm with uneven ground.  We will be walking around the farm and gardens with an elevation gain of 100' up sloped roads and over slippery boulders (if you decide to dip your toes in the stream).  It is recommended to wear athletic sandals or shoes that can get wet.  As the farm is location on the windward side of the island, tours will happen rain or shine, so just in case have that umbrella in your car.
